On Friday 7th December 2007 an Asia-Link Symposium focusing on EU-Asia higher education policy and cooperation issues was held in Hanoi at the National Convention Center. This event was a platform for high-level dialogue between government officials, key senior managers and policy makers from Vietnam and Europe and representatives from higher education institutions and academic networks.

The Symposium also seeks to develop awareness of EU mechanisms and programmes. The matchmaking activity was a good opportunity for representatives from European and Vietnamese higher education institutions to discuss possibilities for future cooperation.

A total number of 240 participants attended the morning plenary session.
